When you meet a doctor, you are assured your disease will move away soon. Well the question arises if all the doctor can give you best treatment for your disease. There are some physicians who are fair to poor, some bad, some good, and some wonderful. What causes the difference among them although they get similar education and training? Some schools for doctorate creates physician who can give good counsel while most merely create robots who spit out memorized scripts. However I think the patient should abide by the rules and regulation that he has been told.
It’s a common thing that many of patients don’t follow orders. Some try to walk just after making leg, ankle or foot surgery; others take the bandages off too soon. Some don’t take medicine regularly and really apologize for it subsequently. All of these can invite unnecessary problems. When the health problem is somewhat minor, it may not cause great problem but what if the case is a major problem, in particular in case of surgery. The negligence to doctor’s advice may cause life threatening problems. For e.g. if the bleeding can't be stopped, it may lead to death.
Cases are there even a small injury have become a great wound due to lack of proper care. So it is essential to take your prescribed medicines timely and to avoid all other things that you have been advised. For example concurrent use of some medicines may cause harm to your health or have negative impact on your health. In such case you should avoid use of these drugs. There are also some foods that may not be used while being treated with some disease. In this case the patient is supposed to avoid such foods. Certain caution may also be required while performing certain exercise. So the patient ought to use caution for this.
So you must remember that if your doctor tells you to do this or keep away from that, there must be some good reason. Therefore you should follow them if don’t want to avoid your family from the sleepless night.
