If you are planning a Botox treatment in the future, maybe some questions have come to mind. The questions and answers here may give you some peace of mind.
Is Botox Safe For Me? Many people have heard that Botox is derived from botulism and this can be scary to think about. Indeed Botox is derived from botulism, however it is considered to be a safe treatment in medical circles. A Botox treatment can be a great alternative to the affects of age. I've heard that there may be swelling or bruising. Is that true? A Botox treatment that has been properly injected should leave minimum swelling or bruising.
There may be minuscule bruising after a Botox treatment if the needle has hit a vein beneath your skins surface.
This situation is difficult to avoid and depending on the person they may bruise somewhat easier than other people. If you have an oncoming important event on your horizon, plan to have your Botox injection several weeks earlier than your event. By planning early, your skin will have an ample amount of healing time and the injection will not be noticeable. How painful is the actual injection? Botox is considered a beauty treatment and like some other beauty treatments there will be a small amount of discomfort. Pain reduction will not be a problem to the experienced Botox injector. One remedy to reduce pain is to place ice packs on the area that will receive the injection. The ice will cause your skin to become numb and as a result the Botox injection will be less painful. Using the ice to numb the area will help keep pain and sensitivity to a bare minimum. During the procedure the use of several needles may seem scary.
However, the reason for using several needles, is that overuse of the same needle will cause the needle tip to become dull and will result in pain for the person being injected. Therefore it is standard practice to change out needles several times to eliminate pain. It is also a sanitary and safer practice.
Does Botox cost an arm and a leg?
Prices for Botox treatment are dependent on where or who you receive the treatment from.
For example, the expensive route would be to have the Botox injection completed by a plastic surgeon.
A more nominal fee will be charged by a professional Botox treatment person because they will only charge for their time and the cost of the Botox product.
Please be warned!!!! Depending on the person giving the Botox treatment and their degree of training, you may get mixed results with a Botox treatment. Different results could be due to a Botox injectors inadequate training.
As a result of the proper training, your face should not have a paralyzed appearance after a Botox treatment. Before any treatment is received, ask questions of the professional that you are considering receiving a Botox treatment from.
