Witnessing your child suffering from panic attacks is probably one of the most awful situations you can run into. I know, that information might had left you wondering how can that be feasible yet, panic attacks children too and these occurrences are really possible. Daily, number of children being affected by the disorder rises; and most doctors now get baffled and disappointed by these numbers.
You always desire your child to have the best, from education down to his or her childhood experience. How is this possible if children panic attack episodes are becoming predominant these days? Still confused of such possibility? No more worries because I am here to discuss in detail the ideas about the disorder.
Panic attacks might be among the list of "passed-on" disorders but not all panic attacks in children are transmitted in origin. Indeed, that is very true; in fact, some children who have this disorder are the first in their family. Basing on that fact, the environment or the manner they were raised maybe one of the probable contributors of panic episodes.
A good proof that panic attacks can be triggered by any change in the surroundings is through separation anxiety. Sneaking out behind your child's back so that he would not know you are about to leave will just feed on a lot of apprehension and anxiety to his mind. Just for you to decrease your child's worries, inform your child of your whereabouts and the time you are likely to be back. Panic attacks are less likely to happen when you do that.
Aside from separation anxiety, a child may have panic attacks as a result of general panic disorder. At present, there are still no clear rationale for this but there are just children who are simply dreary. This may possibly be caused by peer pressure, problems in school or domestic problems. Whatever the reason may be, it is significant to know the root cause and settle it with your child.
Drugs could activate the panic attacks of your child. Side effects of some drugs may potentiate and increase the incidence of panic episodes. Always make sure that you are heedful in giving the proper medications for your child.
Lastly, panic attacks in kids can also be caused by their individuality. Either your child is naturally aloof, or you raised him or her to be that way, that kind of personality can actually lead to the disorder. When a child is distant, he or she will find it difficult to disclose him or herself. In case the child has no method of releasing his or her anger, there will come to a point that these damaging emotions pile up bringing stress to the child.
A child is expected to be enjoying and playing outside the house not concealing inside just to forbid panic attacks from recurring. Every child deserves a happy childhood; just help him avoid panic attacks.
