IHSE USA, LLC, a leading provider of DVI and KVM extender solutions expands their line of KVM extenders with new additions to the DSXi series for CAT 5/6/7 . These extenders support DVI graphics (DVI-D) in an uncompressed mode at resolutions up to 1920X1200@60Hz. The DSXi comes in both single-head and dual-head models allowing for a wide range of configurations. New units with the transparent USB 2.0 option now support any high speed USB peripheral such as hard drives, cameras, CD/DVD ROM drives, Flash drives, etc. Each of the 4 USB 2.0 ports provides full power for such USB powered devices. Additionally, all devices support USB for keyboard and mouse or with our Enhanced USB Emulation software (EUE), devices such as touch screens and multimedia keyboards can be used without loss of performance or functionality.
With true uncompressed transfer of DVI data, the DSXi performs perfectly for video transfer at 1920X1080p/60 without the worry of dropping frames or lose of video quality. The small footprint allows up to five modules in a 1RU space and power to the local units can be supplied from the USB port or from an external power supply. On displays supporting the EDID format, DDC information is pulled directly from the device and stored in the local unit, thus eliminating the need for lookup tables or special emulation mode devices.
These units support a wide range of applications for digital signage, call centers, command and control, post production editing stations, information terminals, airport traffic control, and high-end KVM extensions where exceptional image quality is required.
