On occasion when your business needs to organise a conference for more people than you have room for, you are going to need to seek out an alternative location. The obvious and immediate option is to look for a conference centre but there are alternatives. It depends quite a lot on the type of company you are and it also depends on what the conference is for. If you are wanting to report good news to your shareholders then it is very appropriate to organise a more lavish event than if you are wanting to report bad news or poor profits.
If your company is looking for a something a bit different and a venue that stands out then this article is for you. Following is a list of luxurious or slightly unusual places to hold a conference, one of which might be perfect for your own business.
Have you considered holding your conference in a Theatre? The Piccadilly Theatre in London is just one theatre that has the capacity to hold over 1000 people for a conference. Located in the heart of the West End in London it has great transport links and offers a unique and interesting venue. If the theatre is not your thing, then how about Football? Many football clubs around the country offer conference facilities to businesses. Aberdeen Football has several function rooms, as does St James's Park in Newcastle. Football clubs have good parking facilities too. If you want to sit in comfort during the day then you can't go far wrong by hiring out a Cinema. With large, comfortable seating, plenty of leg room and excellent acoustics and sound equipment, a cinema offers some excellent qualities as a premier conference or meeting venue. The Apollo Cinema in Piccadilly is available for hire and can seat up to 250 people in the largest screen room.
There are some beautiful country house hotels up and down the country that offer absolute luxury when it comes to meeting facilities. They also have the added bonus of offering business accommodation to all those who need it. If you really want to organise an event that will stay in people's minds then hiring a room in a good hotel will do just that. Country hotels tend to be situated in stunning grounds amid quiet and tranquil scenery. Making sure they are situated close to a main road or a train station is important if you have many people arriving by car. Nothing that is too "out in the sticks" will work best as a venue.
If you really want to make an impression you could hire a room in a Palace. Addington Palace in Croydon has a very rich history and being set in 150 acres of landscaped gardens offers a regal and not to mention beautiful setting. It is also possible to hire a room on HMS Belfast if you want to enjoy a nautical day and St Mary's Church in London can also be hired as a meeting venue You can see from this extensive list that there are a great many choices of places in which to hold a conference.
When you are looking for something professional and yet sedate, you can't go wrong with a conference centre however. Not only are they set up perfectly to hold conferences, they also come with a team of conference organisers who will help you prepare everything for the day. Although there are a range of choices from sports venues to theatres and palaces, when you want to be guaranteed of a professional and successful day, hiring conference centres can be the best way to proceed and will ensure your day goes without a hitch.
