So many of us ignore our bodies and what they are trying to tell us when something is not right. We have a pain in our stomach and we write it off as indigestion. We feel tired all the time and we don't try to change anything to give ourselves more energy. We get symptoms of problems over and over again and we cover up the symptoms, instead of fixing the root of the problem, and we move on until the next episode of symptoms. Unfortunately this is allowing the root problem to work away at our body for years, and may eventually allow it to grow into something bigger than it was when the problems first started.
Sometimes our signs may not even be something that presents itself as a problem that we need to get checked out, or at least check in to. We may get stomach aches and pains that we ignore. We get headaches, or migraines, all the time and don't think anything of it. Things don't feel normal in our bodies and instead of looking into it we ignore it. This can be detrimental to our health.
Pain or discomfort is our body's way of saying that something is not right. It is essentially telling you that something in your body is injured or in trouble. In essence, to ignore the pain is to ignore the fact that there may be something wrong now, or there may be something that will go wrong later.
Sometimes we do take action and go to the doctor with obvious symptoms of something and they tell us nothing is wrong. And we believe it even though our bodies are screaming otherwise! This is why second opinions are recommended. Doctors are not mistake proof, and they may make an occasional mistake about a diagnosis. If you feel that something is wrong then trust your gut, discomfort, and pain, and get a second opinion.
Sometimes our discomfort or pain is just an indication that something could go wrong in the future and that it may be time to start living a healthier lifestyle. You can improve your own health by practicing preventative and natural medicine. It is better to keep yourself as healthy as possible all the time; instead of just acting when something is wrong.
The number one thing you can do for preventative medicine is to practice healthy nutrition. Unhealthy nutrition leads to many diseases and obesity, which leads to many more diseases of its own. Healthy eating should always be one of the first things you change when you have signs of not being healthy.
Exercising, relieving stress, being more positive, and using natural remedies are all other possible ways of improving your own health and preventing any disease your pain may be trying to tell you is coming.
