3 Reasons Emotional Therapy Technique Can Help You Stop Lip Biting
Lip biting is a habit and similar to any habit is difficult to stop. You can try and stop the habit by pure will power, but it can be very difficult, especially if at some level you enjoy biting the skin. You have to look at things like this - were you born to be a lip biter? No but seriously, think about it. Habits are born because of constant repetition of an action or experience. As a result, you can take the same principles to unlearn it or switch it with a new beneficial habit. You are best to try and unlearn the habit or get rid of it from your brain completely. This will take some time, but can be done using Chinese Acupuncture techniques. The Emotional Freedom Technique works by subconscious repatterning that removes the relationship between stress and the emotional reaction of lip biting. You need to consciously make an effort to stop yourself and perform EFT immediately. Go to some place quiet or private if you feel uncomfortable tapping in public.

Emotional Freedom Technique is carried out using hands and fingers. Either you or somebody else should tap on your pressure points with your hands/fingers.

As soon as you catch biting, make a note of exactly what you are doing and thinking about. Are you bored? Are you anxious? Are you day dreaming? The negativity you are thinking about, try using Emotional Freedom Technique to diminish it. Repeat it over and over, tapping whilst you think of negative image. Then afterwards you will struggle to remember what you were thinking of or atleast the emotional trigger will be reduced substantially. Just close your eyes and imagine yourself performing the lip biting habit and feel what you would feel whilst doing it. At this point you should use EFT and weaken the subconscious imagery and emotional reaction.

EFT can not only be used as a lip biting remedy. It can also be used to cure many of life's stresses, negative thought patterns and even migraine headaches. Using EFT regularly can really recondition the mind. Once you have used EFT and weakened the thought, you should do some visualisation of constructive thoughts.
