What Is Ingrown Hair?
The problem occurs when a close shave scraps the skin which causes the hair stubble to be trapped below the skin. As the hair begins to grow back, some of it fails to grow out of the hair follicles but instead grow and curls inside. Consequently as the tip of the ingrown hair pierces the skin, it becomes irritated and redness and irritation results which causes a bump on the surface of the skin known as razor or shaving bump or by it’s technical term Pseudofolliculities Barbae. This skin inflammation if not attended could lead to permanent scarring and color change to the skin.
