All delicious tropical fruits can be preserved by freezing them. If you only have ten minutes or so, then whipping up a tasty fruit smoothie is the way to go. The one thing you are going to need to make your smoothie is a strong electric blender. The only other items you need are a glass and a spoon. There are a lot of really delicious flavors that you can add to the ingredients to make your fruit smoothie taste so very good.
A Delicious Strawberrry Kiwi Smoothie
A great fruit to start with is red frozen strawberries. It's a piece of cake to buy frozen strawberries at the store. Another great ingredient are green frozen kiwis. You can find these at almost any grocery store. If frozen is not available, look at using fresh ingredients. The nutrition facts will show the value of these fruits in their frozen form.
Start by adding a cup of crushed ice for the strawberry kiwi smoothie. Next you'll need to add one cup of frozen kiwi slices and one cup of the frozen strawberry and add both of those into the blender. Add a tablespoon of lime juice, and a table spoon of honey. These ingredients help to enhance the flavor of the kiwi. Blend at a high speed until everything is fully crushed. If you want, you could add some alcoholic drink as well. Something with 15% alcohol content usually does the trick. Blend in the adult beverage if you chose to add one.
You also need to slice up a lemon and slip one of the slices onto your glass. Now you're ready to pour out your delicious smoothie. You'll probably need two glasses. Two people will be able to enjoy this smoothie.
A Mango Papaya Fruit Smoothie
Another popular frozen smoothie can be made with yellow frozen mangos. Most grocery stores around the world have frozen mangos to choose from. Frozen orange colored papaya also makes a tasty smoothie ingredient. These varieties can be procured at a grocery store as well. The packaging again will tell you all about the nutritional value of these fruits.
The first ingredient into the blender should be one cup of crushed ice for the papaya mango smoothie. The next ingredient in the blender should be one cup of frozen papaya, and one cup of frozen mango. For extra flavor add a tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of lime juice. A sweeter taste will bring out the papaya flavor You'll need to blend at high speed to ensure all the ingredients are properly blended. If you want some alcohol in this smoothie, you can add that as well. 15% alcohol percentage and a teaspoonful is good. Make sure you blend the alcohol in also.
You can garnish your glass with a nice slice of fresh pineapple. Simply cut off a small slot. You can then pour your fresh smoothie into two glasses. This recipe makes enough for two people.
