You have just given your teenage daughter one of the coolest designer bags she had ever seen. Yeah she may like it now and parade around the house with it on her shoulder and would want to call up all of her friends to let them know what her parents got her for her birthday. However, their may be a time when she will get sick of it, and it may end up being on the floor with all of her other purses.

It makes parents frustrated when you say that you really, really, really want something and when your parents start to say no, you start screaming and throwing a temper tantrum to get your own way. When your parents finally give into you because they do not want to hear their teenage daughter acting like a baby, they might get really upset at your reaction when you see it face to face.

In their ears, your words might sound like they're running together and then they look at you like your crazy when you ask them what you said. They may have the usual reaction that many teenagers give their moms, which is they start sucking up.

You and your husband might be able to scrape up some extra cash to get this one thing for. You have to let her know that it's not going to be a surprise since you're going to get it for her now. You also have to let her know that you do not want to see this bag on the floor just like all of her other purses. You can tell by the look on her face that she is trying really hard to be patiently waiting for you to finish speaking.

What's going to worry you is that they make act like precious angels at home but then they may act horrible at school. You may start to daydream about how their new life would be. They might be rude to their friends and teachers because they have something cool and wonderful and they don't. They might even turn over a completely new leaf by acting better than everyone else.

Let her know how much one of those bags cost, and then have her pay you back with the allowance that you give her every week for doing her chores. If she saves up every last cent of that money, then she will be able to pay you back in no time. Now that you have punished her by giving her a lecture, then you can let her know that she won't be able to go out until she pays you back for that purse.

Another way to go about it without your child hating you would be to see if you can sell the purse to one of her friends with interest because you did have to pay shipping and handling to get that bag to arrive in just a few short days on your doorstep.

Just because your girls received the coolest designer bags ever does not mean they can go around acting all stuck up just because they have something that maybe their parents were not able to afford. You have to set the record straight with them and they will better respect you because once their bags are taken away, they will reflect on their behavior and straighten up their attitude.
