Our ears are a part of our five senses namely seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling. Our ear has strong neuronal networks of electrical activities due to which we hear all sounds in the auditory enclosures. These sound patterns originate in the cochlea due to sound stimulation .Hence we differentiate between sounds. These sound signals go to human body CPU (brain).Sound perceptions are made as noises coordinate to the brain by nerves. All this happens as a result of stimulation by an external sound. But if you are suffering from tinnitus, there will be some noises in the ear without having any external source.
The noises heard by the affected person are generally noted to be like ringing, buzzing or as if a tune is being played continuously.Vocals like running water ,whistling or the sound from a seashell can also be heard by few .These symptoms may be experienced in one ear or in some cases in both the ears.Ringing in ear may be due to symptoms like dizziness, sense of fullness in the ears.Sometimes these sounds accompany severe pain with them and headache too especially if ringing in ears is in old age or may be due to illness. This happens as a result of an infection in the ear caused by a growth of a parasite.Unknown sensations in central nervous system may lead to ring bells in ears . Over period of time if it is not diagnosed then also can take form of hearing impairment .Tinnitus can be temporary or persistent .Excessive use of drugs like aspirin is important tinnitus causes.
