Today, Biotechnology has become one of the best budding technologies. In fact there are already several pharmaceutical industries that have been using biotechnology to generate effective medicines. The main ingredients however of producing highly effective medicines are natural elements.
Furthermore, biotechnological plants are using plant and animal cells as the main substances in producing highly efficient medicines that can possibly cure even the most perilous and fatal diseases at a relatively low cost. Not only biotechnology is used in pharmaceutical industry but also in biology, agriculture and food science.
Basically, it embraces science principles like embryology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, and cell and genetics biology. The concept is simple, to make use and develop natural organisms as an effective alternative to mankind.
Biotechnological plants directly manufacture highly effective natural medicines that are relatively affordable to common man. The good thing about biotechnology is that it utilizes a very simple method in producing medicines.
It works in such a way that the technology is effectively using plants to produce many different therapeutic proteins and medicines to cure fatal diseases such as Cancer, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Multiple Sclerosis, Cardiovascular disorders, Hemophilia and Arthritis.
Biotechnological plants have actually achieved great success in the field of medicine by producing highly useful medicines. Not only has it proved its merit in medical fields but also in areas like food products and agriculture.
When a genetically engineered plant is modified correctly, it will result to huge increase of crops. There are already so many efforts that have been made in producing crops that can produce biotic and abiotic stress and holds more therapeutic proteins as well as other nourishing components. In addition, the ripening period of fruits increases while the decaying process decreases.
This can only tell us that biotechnology in one of those emerging technologies that definitely made a difference in terms of giving new heights in the world of medicine. More and more people have recognized this; even young graduates are giving attention to this field and put more effort in producing substantially effective medicines using this technology.
