Moms working from home is a growing segment of our world. These pioneering women are attempting to build a life that includes professional aspirations and family needs in one cohesive package. I know the demands this lifestyle creates because I live it too. Hi, I’m MaryEllen Tribby, CEO of WorkingMomsOnly.com and I run the majority of my business as one of the moms working from home.

In fact, one of my goals when founding workingmomsonly.com was to supply moms working from home with the support and resources they need to have success, happy, and fulfilling lives. I enjoy this type of life working from home just as I did as an executive in corporate America when I ran a division of Forbes, or at Weiss Research. The key for me that I’d like to share with you is my working mom’s mindset.

As moms working from home, we have to see the world a little differently than most of the world. We are more prone to the distractions running rampant at home because we don’t leave to go to offices. We also don’t separate personal and professional life the same way as our corporate counterparts do. The responsibilities and environments are different. That’s where mindset comes in.

With the seven different pieces that make up your mindset working for you, the challenge of recognizing opportunities and filtering out distractions becomes automatic. One of those pieces that has the most impact for moms working at home is vision.

By taking a little bit of time and envisioning what you want your life to look like, you give your mindset instructions for what to look for. That vision serves as a guide and destination, which allows you to be more efficient, less stressed, and more mentally present for your family and your business.

Having a clear vision gives my working mom’s mindset a head-start on finding opportunities to bring me closer to the vision and turning my focus away from the distractions that can keep me from getting there. We can build the same advantage for you.
