Hosting a party is not a straight forward exercise. Getting the food and drinks for the guests is one major job, as is organising a venue, if it is not to be held in the home. One of the other major considerations is lighting the party, particularly if there is a specific theme to be complemented or power supply issues to be considered. The good news, however, is that there are party lights to suit every possible scenario.
Parties are major undertakings, but things are made a lot easier when all of the options are known. For example, lights are not only available in strings, with net lights common, practical alternatives that save time and money. If a party is being held away from a reliable power source, then lighting issues can increase.
However, by using battery lights the need to find a electric socket is gone, making so many good locations possible venues despite the lack of power. These two factors can often be the difference between a memorable party experience and a flop, but the excellent selection of lighting options available removes the risk of disaster striking, at least in lighting terms.
Lights presented in a net design offer one solution to the issue of space that can sometimes thwart the best attempts to create effective decorative lighting for a party. These nets are usually available as a rectangle, typically measuring 1.5 metres x 2 metres in area, with about 120 bulbs on them to illuminate a given surface. They can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes, with ceilings and blank walls commonly covered inside the home, and bushes, hedges and even windows being draped outside.
When it comes to specific party themes, this versatility can be a huge bonus. For a Christmas party, for example, it can mean making a garden seem to be covered in snow, with white lights over the shrubs. A marquee at a summer party can be made more glamorous with the diamond sparkle effect that is emitted by clear white lights. A kids party with a western theme, meanwhile, can have amber or yellow lights hanging over low walls or windows to give that western feel.
Crucially, these nets can be used as parts of an overall connectable system, meaning that one giant net can be created and powered at one plug source. If that is the case, then just as important is the real cost of keeping these lights alight, particularly if they will be used for a prolonged period of time, like over the Christmas period. These nets are comprised of LED lights, which use up an estimated 80 per cent less energy than normal and have a life span that is 30 times longer. They are also brighter than filament bulbs, thereby making them not just more efficient but more effective.
Of course, there is more than one way to power a light, with battery power a capable alternative. This is especially useful in situations where access to the mains power supply does not exist, and can actually make fully lit parties possible in remote locations. So, a beach party does not have to rely on the traditional bonfire for light, but it can have tables and backgrounds individually lit. In woodland, trees can be lit up to help create an Alice in Wonderland type tea party.
All that is necessary to facilitate these types of parties are battery lights, which come in a wide variety of styles and colours. They typically consist of 30 lights in total, are weatherproofed and and can run for up to 50 hours on the power of just three AA batteries. This means that a party can take place practically anywhere, though lights powered by batteries are also commonly used at indoor parties to prevent excess cabling and reduce the chances of someone tripping.
The versatility of net lights can make a theme come to life, while the practical advantages of using lights powered by batteries means that anywhere is a potential party venue. This array of party lights options means there is a light that can truly cater for any needs and make the dream party of any child a reality.
