Free Marketing With Video On YouTube

Have you ever been there? You have created and uploaded numerous videos on YouTube, but no one seems to be watching them. If no one is watching them, there is no traffic being driven to your website. If there is no traffic, then the work you put into your videos seems like it was a waste of time.

I think we have all been there.

In spite of the problem described above, life on YouTube can be much more

productive and rewarding than that. You can see traffic generated by your videos on YouTube, but there are a few simple steps to take to make that happen.

Sure, making videos is pretty easy work when you give it a hard look. All you have to do is record it, and upload it to YouTube. That’s not very complicated at all. People will find it based on its popularity.

You can either record yourself, or create a slide show. YOU don’t even have to be on the video! How easy is that!? As long as you give valuable content to the viewer, it doesn’t matter how you create it.

Getting ranked at the top of the search engines is the goal of Free YouTube

marketing. Getting good rankings is the key to driving an appropriate amount of traffic to your site. There are a few steps to take to accomplish this goal. It takes more than just creating and uploading a bunch of videos to your channel.

It all starts with quality keyword research. Simply use Google, and the free Google Keyword Tool to help you determine the keywords your video will be about. How do you find the Google Keyword Tool? "Google it."

Once on the Google Keyword Tool, insert your keyword idea, and click the search button. Google will not only give your numerous related keyword ideas, but will also let you know how many monthly searches have been attempted, and what kind of competition you might have when trying to rank on that keyword.

Now here is the "key." (No pun intended!) Use keywords with low competition, and high global monthly searches. The benchmark to shoot for is to make sure you are staying with keywords with no less than 5000 global monthly searches.

Next, make sure that your keyword has a high search volume – but not too high! Go back to Google to check out the actual competition. Simply type your keyword into the search bar.

Once the search returns it’s results, look at the number directly underneath the search bar. If it shows over 500,000, you want to find another keyword, or at least make some adjustments.

I suggest using "long tail" keywords since they will naturally have less competition. A "long tail" keyword is one with 3 or more words in the phrase. There will be less search volume, but you will have a much greater chance of a high ranking with Google, YouTube, or any search engine.

Now, once you have your keyword(s) in place, create a video that offers quality content on that subject. Simply share what you know, and what you have learned about the topic surrounding your keyword.

Remember, have a conversation with the viewer, not a lecture. Make sure your content is solid and helpful. There will always be someone searching for the answers that your video provides. Answer the questions, build your credibility, and drive more traffic – for free!
