If you live out west, you know that the weather can be unpredictable. You also know that a drop of rain or a flake of snow can't keep work from getting done. Living a western lifestyle means no excuses; hearty men and women work hard through rain, snow, sleet and hail in order to maintain the needs of the ranch or farm. That's why hard working men and women need western outerwear that keeps up with a busy schedule and holds up to the unexpected and quickly changing weather conditions.
When it comes to working outside in the cold, not just any old jacket will keep you warm and dry. You need high quality western outerwear, jackets and winter accessories, such as hats and gloves to keep the cold out and the warmth in. Popular western outerwear items such as such as a men's down vest or a brown wool coat are fashionable and can also provide much-needed insulation, because you should never have to second guess on quality of winter items at critical moments when you need them the most.
You don't have to live in the country to know that having a high quality black or brown wool coat is a necessity to any winter wardrobe. Wool is one of the best materials on the market. It is a great material for insulating the body in cold weather as well as keeping skin dry. Wool doesn't hold in moisture like cotton, which also makes it more odor resistant than synthetic fabrics. A black or brown wool coat won't absorb dust or stains, which earns it high merits as a western outerwear essential. Wool is also resistant to tearing and burning in some cases, which makes it a long lasting product that will only get better with age.
Another must have for the westerner's outerwear wardrobe is a men's down vest. This is especially great to have on hand for any season. In spring and fall when the weather can vary during the day a men's down vest will keep the core of the body warm and keep the hands and arms free. The down vest is good for layering with a wool shirt or with another coat or jacket underneath, and a vest will more lightweight than a full coat.
You don't have time to worry if your winter gear will survive the tough conditions of a western climate, take time to invest in high quality western outerwear, because you never know when it could save your life.
