The discussions on steroid effects have been a huge topic of debate among couple people. The debate is known to attract the attention of large number of scientist and researchers. Recent studies have revealed that excessive use of anabolic steroids could lead to serious damage of the body and sometimes it could be irreparable. Out of various side effects the most common would be the inhibition of natural hormones. It is a phenomenon when excessive addition of hormones results in sending signals to the endocrine system to stop the production of hormone by the natural process.

It has been seen over the years that steroids are mostly used by the teenagers and those who are involved with body building. Mainly people use steroids to enhance their performance and at the same time enhance the growth of the muscle of the body. This lead to excessive use of the drug thereby creating a condition commonly known as steroid effects. The ill effects of using steroids are very scary for an average human being. They are considered to be the most powerful drug and therefore are bound to have some side effects. Consumers of steroids must be completely aware of the fact that although steroids enhance their performance in their respective fields but side effects could turn out to be very fatal in nature. One cannot eliminate the androgenic effect of the anabolic steroids as this is known to effect the sex based tissues of the body.

Excessive use of steroid by the teenagers would lead to excessive secretion of hormones that may lead to baldness. This is a very common phenomenon in men who are prone to using steroids. Serious steroid effects have also come up over the years and reduction of sexual urge is the most common of them. Prolong use of steroids have led to a condition of lack of sexual desirer among men and clinical examination have also revealed a drop in the sperm count. It could often lead to an embarrassing situation of enlargement of breast in men. Researches have also revealed that in men testicles have shrunk considerably leading to various sexual disorders.

Steroids have also been known to have cardio vascular effects. This disorder might be linked with that of the lipid profile level with in the body but it is a very serious disorder and calls for immediate precautions. Many body builders have reported have the disorder of enlarged ventricles and this could surely be attributed to the overdoses of steroids. In some cases it has been seen that teenagers using steroids have suffered the problems of stunted growth. It is to be kept in mind that not all steroids lead to these scenario but certain drugs have been known to such adverse effects. Excessive use of aromatizable steroids results in the closure of epiphysial cartilage thereby inhibiting the growth process of teenagers. Once the epiphysial cartilage closes the growth of the body is stopped on a permanent basis. Till date no medicines have been invented in order to rectify such disorders. So precautions are to be taken in early stages and are usually advised not to overuse steroids.
