At Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products, we manufacture the finest compression latches in the industry. Thanks to our expert team of engineers, our compression latches offer powerful compression, dampen significant vibration, and provide excellent sealing. Much like our line of hinges and other latches, our compression latches consist of several different variations: panel latches, electronic enclosures, large T latches, lift and turn latches, round latches, trigger latches, and tool activated latches. Anyone needing a certain type of compression latch is sure to find what he or she is looking for in our product line.
You also have to decide if you want a fixed compression latch or an adjustable compression latch. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, and each one is suited for a particular task. The fixed compression latches are consistent and constant with their compression, but they cannot be adjusted. If you’re going with a fixed compression latch, make sure you’re choosing the right one. You can go with tool, key, or hand activated. The adjustable compression latches give you a bit of leeway in the amount of compression you want. Some frames and surfaces can’t handle a lot of pressure, so you’ll want to ease up on the compression. With a fixed compression latch, you couldn’t do that, but an adjustable compression latch gives you the opportunity to customize the compression.
Whichever type of compression latch you choose, know that you’ll be getting expert service and expert support from our team. While our engineers often get most of the credit for actually manufacturing the latches and hinges, it is our customer service team that is the unsung hero of the company. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help, so don’t hesitate to contact them if you have any questions about any of our products.
Our engineering team is constantly developing new products to lead the industry, with cost reduction and product improvement being perpetual goals. The team also tweaks current designs to make them even more effective. In addition to the items found in our catalog, we supply custom hardware to many of our customers. Our CAD, FEA and Fused deposition modeling (FDM) machine are some of the tools we use to overcome many of the obstacles encountered when developing a new product from concept to production. We are interested in working with you on specially designed items and/or modifications of our catalog items. Please go to our contact us page to submit your design file for review.
