Yachting in the Seychelles, one of the most exciting yachting destinations in the world. The Seychelles archipelago with 150 flourishing and green islands, spread over an area of 400,000 square kilometers, northeast of Madagascar. The national airline Air Seychelles (HM) operates scheduled flights from London, Paris, and Rome in the European sector. Natural purity with an authentic touch is the cornerstone of a philosophy that echoes the needs of today’s discerning travellers for a tranquil yet vibrant destination, unspoiled by commercialism. The peaceful white sandy beaches, calm waters, dazzling lagoons and brilliant coral reefs, are some of the reasons why yachting in the Seychelles and sailing or cruising is one thing you'd love to do once you're there. The shallow coral reefs and endless beaches are completely suited to a catamaran. Discover incredible and ancient wildlife reserves, giant tortoise and huge flocks of sea birds, unique species of trees, shrubs, and living creatures that are to be found in the different islands. Under the water the wildlife is just as, if not more remarkable than the wildlife on land.
The many islands are better experienced when you yachting in the Seychelles. La Digue, a step back in time, where ox-carts and bicycles are still the main modes of transport• Silhouette, North, Frégate, Bird and Denis Islands, a little more isolated, also fall within the Inner Islands group. Outer Islands, totaling 72 in all, are situated beyond the Seychellesplateau and consist of low-lying sand cays and coral atolls. However, make sure that you bring your diving and snorkeling equipment with you. Hundreds of species of brilliantly colored fish and coral are on exhibit at Desroches Drop - a site famous for the best diving in the Seychelles. There are over 20 dive and snorkel sites in the marine parks in the region of Mahe, one being St Anne Marine National Park which protects over 150 types of fish. The spectacular landscape and the valuable wildlife species make yachting in the Seychelles an interesting and diverse location for yachting holiday.
The main island of the Seychelles, Mahe is dazzling with 70 beaches of diverse character, backed with spectacular rock formations Known to be the main island in the Seychelles, almost all points in the area have a lot of things to suggest to their guests. North Mahé, home to famous Beau Vallon beach, tends to be more populous than other regions of the island. South Mahé presents, in contrast, a wonderfully pastoral aspect and is home to some of the island’s prettiest beaches and villages too, allmade accessible by an efficient network of roads. There are quite a lot of shallow waters and sandy beaches, where you can simply relax and have some time swimming or snorkeling. Yachting in the Seychelles season usually runs from May to September: The temperature in the Seychelles is fairly consistent year round. Whatever your yachting requirements, there will be something in the Seychelles to accomplish your needs: motor, sailing, luxury and mega yacht, skippered, bareboat and crewed yacht.
