Teen Truth or Dare is a classic party game It is such a popular game that many twist and alternative versions have been invented since the original. If you are thinking about playing this game at your party, but are worried that it may come off as cliché then you might want to consider these fun spin-offs. For all of the games you will need to create some good truth or dares to use.
- Dance and Dare - Teen Truth or Dare
While the music is playing and all your guests are dancing throw a balloon into the mix. Let your friends have fun bopping it back and forth on the dance floor, but when the music stops the fun begins. After you stop the music whoever last touched the balloon must pop it and complete the truth or dare (T or D) inside. Afterward start the music up again and toss in another balloon. If you want you can throw in two balloons for every round, one for truth and one for dare. Make sure you prepare lots of balloons ahead of time. Write fun challenges on slips of paper and insert them into the balloons before inflating.
- Never Have I Ever - Teen Truth or Dare Version
Pass everyone three pennies, or poker chips (something similar) to keep score. One person starts a statement with "Never have I ever…" then they must finish the statement by adding something they have never done before. Everyone who HAS done this before must give up one of their points. Then it’s the next person’s turn to make a "never have I ever" statement. If a person loses all their points then they must draw out of the naughty bag (a bag full of paper slips of T or D questions) and answer the truth or complete the dare that they pull out. They may then have three more points to continue playing.
- Truth and Liars - Teen Truth or Dare
In this fun party game you’ll have to decide which of your friends are lying. Can you do it? If not you may have to pay the consequences! Catch the liar and they will be the one’s paying the price.
How to play: Take three index cards and write truth on the back of two of them and liar on the back of the other. Place the cards face down and have three players pick one without showing the other players. Now ask a question such as: What is the most embarrassing thing your mom or dad has ever done in front of you? They each must answer according to their card: two being honest, the other one lying. You and the rest of your friends must come to an agreement on who is the liar. If you guess correctly then the liar must perform a T or D, but if the liar gets away with it then they get to pick another person to complete a truth or dare question or challenge. After, pick three new contestants and play again. So much fun!
- Mr. Freeze - Teen Truth or Dare
This is another funny teen truth or dare game. This game can be played throughout the entire party. One person is designated as Mr. Freeze. At any point during the party he/she must freeze. Everyone that notices must freeze also. The last person to freeze must complete a dare. They then become the next Mr. Freeze.
- Bite the Bag – Teen Truth or Dare Version
This is a hilarious game to watch and play. Place a brown paper bag on the floor. A player must reach down, on one foot, and pick it up with their mouth. The only thing that is allowed to touch the floor is your foot, and the only thing that is allowed to touch the bag is your mouth. If someone fails or falls they must reach into the bag and pull out a T or D to complete. After every round, cut off an inch from the top of the bag and play again. This game is like limbo in reverse. How low can you go?
Make sure to prepare the bag of T or D questions before the party. Write individual truths or dares onto slips of paper; fold them in half before putting them into the bag. Make sure you have plenty of fun and funny truth and dare challenges.
