Australia is a land of varied landforms created by different agents of nature over a period of time. From the Western Australia desert region to the mountains of south eastern region and from the wonderful reef beaches to the lush green plains, there are varied landforms home to this country having immense natural wealth and beauty. Photography of this beautiful landmass and the vast oceanic stretches showcases the unique pictures of Australia. Many companies require these exclusive Australian pictures on their products or to be used as decoration products. Main among these companies is the one in the field of making the invitations and greeting cards, promotional products and others.
The photographers are driven by their passion for capturing these pictures of Australia. They work all through the year to confine these in their cameras. They travel from one corner of the country to the other, in different seasons, to shoot the most memorable as well as commercially saleable Australian pictures. They bring to the fore natural and man made marvels which are exclusive to Australia. Their works find place in the art galleries or these can even be meant for sale to individuals and companies.
The commercial aspects of the photography can not be ignored. Some of these pictures could be open for sale to the public at large. The people can simply order for these pictures which are used for decorating their homes and offices. These are normally digitally printed on the paper and then framed before giving to the customers. Besides this, there is another category of stock photography. In this, the photographers do not provide the photos of picture Australia to public at large. Rather, they restrict the use of these photos to some companies which are allowed to make use of them for some specific time period for a certain sum of fees. These companies could be the ones which make greeting cards, or other promotional products and make use of these photos to print these products. Some of the most renowned photographers are paid for allowing the use of their photos. They might charge a royalty for the same for the number of years for which the agreement is done. Often, they carry the copyrights to these photos which are not published or used without their express and willful permission.
Stock photography is a way in which the professional independent photographers can earn royalty for their life or at least for a number of years. It gives them the required backbone of finances and the motivation to go about doing their job. There are terms and conditions associated with the usage of the photos given to the companies for stock photography. These could be the binding conditions between the photographers and the companies for using their photos and images and any violations of the usage rights could result in civil lawsuits.
For the companies, professional photographers are the best people to approach, if they require the unique pictures of Australia symbolic of Australia and place or region.
