Rivetnuts, also known as nut-serts or blind nuts, are one of the most popular fastener products used in different industries from aviation to mechanical and pneumatic. They are basically internally threaded and counter bored tubular rivets, which can be anchored from one side entirely.

Two types of this fastener product are available in the market. One type is designed to form a slight bulge on the panel's backside for tightening the screws in the threads. The costs vary depending on the material of the fastener product i.e. whether they are made from steel or aluminum. The costs also vary depending on the size of the fastener. For example, a 100 aluminum fixed mechanical fasteners may cost you about twenty dollars whereas steel may be more costly.
