Distance learning is an ecological sound method in itself, the online delivery method of training and education requires very little resources compared
to standard ‘brick and mortar’ institutions. Also the fact that via online or correspondence methods, education can be delivered to remote regions, or in fact delivered to, learnt and practiced, right in the field, literally. Through Online Learning, you can confidently learn the methods and apply them to make healthy and organic food for consumption and even make a living. Having the power to provide food for yourself and your family is only enabled through acquiring the proper skills.
Online Education is leading the way in this area with a large range of courses directed to sustainable farming, organic farming, permaculture practices, self-sufficiency, and the new and very interesting field of Aquaponics. If you are interested in farming, have respect for the environment, are concerned about sustainability, yet still wish to run a profitable business, then all the specialized courses along in this field will be of interest to you. Ecological farming, an online course, ensures healthy farming and healthy food today and tomorrow, by protecting soil, water and climate. It promotes biodiversity, that is to say the richness of flora and fauna on farmland that provides for a healthy living for humans and for sustainable food production. It also does not contaminate the environment with harmful chemical inputs. Through Ecological farming we are able to cut costs and are sure that what we eat is organic, fresh, healthy and safe.
"Food is what brings people and the Earth together, and Greenpeace believes that ecological farming is the solution to feeding the hungry. Over a billion people on our earth go hungry right now. They need to be able to produce food and feed themselves without relying on multinational corporations providing them with seed or chemicals. Ecological farming methods can provide food for all." according to Greenpeace. We should not underestimate the effect on the overall environment, from constraining deforestation, stopping Phosphate runoff into rivers, estuary
and oceanic ecosystems, protecting ground and artesian water supplies, sustainable Farming has methods to confront all these issues. "The ability to feed ourselves and our children is too important to gamble with. Greenpeace chooses ecological farming as a safe and viable option for everyone right now. The integrity of the world's food supply is too important to our survival to be put at risk." Greenpeace said.
