Akali " the Fist of Shadow

Akali is one of the highest DPS (damage per second) champions in the online multiplayer PC game, League of Legends. This is mainly due to her burst in her abilities, as well as her passives, which in my opinion are a little over powered.

Akali also is not a mana based character " instead, she uses energy which is a huge advantage as she does not have to worry about running out of mana and can put consideration of buying items for mana/mana regen aside.

Passive:

Twin Disciplines "

(Discipline of Force) When Akali acquires 20 ability power, her basic attacks deal 8% bonus magic damage, increasing 1% for every 6 ability power gained thereafter.

(Discipline of Might) When Akali gains 10 bonus attack damage, she then has 8% spell vamp, which then increases by an extra 1% for every bonus attack damage gained thereafter.

Ability 1:

Mark of the Assassin "

Akali throws her Kama at an enemy. This deals magic damage and marks the target for 6 seconds. If Akali auto attacks the same target within 6 seconds, it will deal the same damage and also restore Akali's energy.

Ability 2:

Twilight Shroud "

Akali throws down a circle of smoke, which lasts 8 seconds. When Akali is inside the area, she gains extra armor and magic resistance and also becomes stealth, however if Akali attacks whilst standing within the smoke, she becomes unstealthed for half a second. Enemies that travel through the circle of smoke are also slowed.

Ability 3:

Crescent Slash "

Akali quickly swings her Kamas, hitting nearby enemy units for physical damage.

Ability 4 (Ultimate):

Shadow Dance "

Akali gains an Essence of Shadow once every few seconds, up to a total of three. These allow her to dash instantly to nearby enemies within a generous radius.

Akali also gains an Essence of Shadow every time she kills or assists with a kill.

Tips On Playing Akali:

• Items: start off with either an Amplifying Tome or Doran's Blade to activate one of her passive abilities.

Rush a Hextech Revolver, before turning it into a Hextech Gunblade. This item is a must have for Akali as it gives her extra spell vamp and a mixture of physical and magic damage.

Build Mercury Treads to decrease the crowd control effects on Akali. She is an assassin so she needs to be able to escape as quickly as possible.

Lich Bane is an item that can give Akali massive burst, as it deals extra damage upon using any of her abilities.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter is another item great for Akali as it gives her extra health for survivability and also slows the enemy's movement speed she is attacking.

Last item of choice would be a Guardian Angel. It basically gives Akali an extra life if she does get caught out.

Skill Order: Lead with Shadow Dance, before nuking the enemy with Crescent Slash and Mark of the Assassin. If you haven't killed them yet, then Shadow Dance should be up again for you to dash towards them. Only use Twilight Shroud when you need to get away or in a team fight.
