One can have thousands of apps on one’s iPhone but there are less apps which can quench the thirst of beer lovers. Craft Beer apps can quench your thirst with their information and graphics itself!
Frankly speaking, even after hoarding on the apps, I have an exclusive beer folder for all the beer apps that I have. Despite all of my apps, there are only a few apps which are paid in my store. I have apps which can tell me the best brewery in the new city and also apps which include drinking games.
If free apps are to be scoured, then you will have a restricted set of apps on display with restricted features. Here are some of the apps which are specifically for craft beer lovers, ale lovers, trout lovers and all beer drinkers who have a smartphone, especially an iPhone.
Brewery Map – You can search for breweries by entering the name of the location. There is a comprehensive list here. If you are in a new town, this is the best app for beer drinkers.
Beer Match – Pairs up food and type of beer which are compatible with each other. But some beer lovers do prefer only beer irrespective of the food they are eating with it.
Beer – Write a note or rate the beer that you have just tasted. It is good to keep track of the beer tastings so that you can get back to it.
BAC Calc – Gauge your blood sugar levels on the move. It provides a good reference if the alcohol content has increased drastically and you need to stay put.
Beer Cloud – You can look for different types of beers and find the nearest place where you can get it. It does have features of matching your taste with the right type of beer.
Beer Brands – Track the beer that you drink. One can get the ratings, and then add a bit of description along with history of the beer oneself. It is simple and easy to use and has lots of information.
Taplister – This is a comprehensive craft beer app which provides information on local pubs and the nearest beer stores. It is also a great medium to see the description of the beer that they provide along with the history of the pub. The app depends on the beer vendor and if he has posted information about the company in the database. It is useful enough if you are out of town and looking out for beers suitable to your taste.
Tap Hunter – The Tap hunter is an incredible beer app which can help you to find beer and even search breweries which are even 300 miles away. Those living in a big city can surely opt for this one as it can help you out to find a suitable beer pub or a joint which serves you beer of your preferences.
A Monitor – This app is best suited for beer lovers who want to calculate or monitor the overall blood alcohol level in your body. It is visually striking and mostly shown in pictures. It is a perfect guide for those who want to enjoy craft beer to a desired level which does not affect the body in a harmful way.
