Moving abroad can be a very exciting time for you and your family. More often than not, it's a sign of a new life ahead. When you are moving to a different country, though, there are important things you need to consider before you can finally taste the enjoyment of having a new life.
Save, Save, and Save
Making a big move takes a lot of cash, so it's important that you have more than enough money to get you through the entire experience. You should consider not only the plane tickets, but the overall cost of moving and living in a different country. This includes legal clearances, shipping of your possessions, taxing, and a lot more. The list may go on and on and you would want to make sure you have the money to cover all the expenses involved. As much as possible, you would want to have at least a year's living expenses in hand before you decide to move. Moving to a different country and living there permanently is not as simple as travelling there for the holidays. It requires that you have all the required documents for you to live there before you can hop on the plane. For this reason, have your passport, visa, health clearances, and other important documents ready before you make the big move. This will save you all the hassle and inconvenience of having to arrive at your destination only to find out you are missing an important document.
Shipping Versus Storage
One of the most important and often overlooked factors you need to consider when moving is the shipping versus storage cost. This may seem strange, but when you are moving to another country, bringing along big-ticket items like your car and furniture can cost you more than buying new ones once you arrive at your destination. If the move is overseas, you can end up paying the shipping company more. Therefore, unless it's an item that's really dear to you or one that's really of high-value, consider leaving it behind or selling it and just replace it once you arrive to your new place. Deal With Health Issues

It's also important to take note of any vaccinations that are required in the country you're moving to and make sure you have received them and had them documented.
