List of some errors with solutions to them:
Some of the most common Windows 8 error messages and their solutions are as follows:
o Would you like to install this device software?
A window similar to the one shown appears when you try to install or update a driver for one of your computer’s parts.
Solution: If you’re sure the file is safe, click the Install button. But if this message appears unexpectedly, or you think it may not be safe, click the Don’t Install button.
o Do you want to save changes?
You’re trying to close an application, sign out, or restart your computer before telling a program to save the work you’ve accomplished.
Solution: Look in the window’s title bar for the program’s name. Then find that program on your desktop (or click its name on the taskbar to bring it to the forefront). Finally, save your work by choosing Save from the program’s File menu (or tab) or clicking the programs save icon. Don’t want to save the file? Then click Don’t Save to discard your work and move on.
o Closing programme:
There's no obvious way to close programmes, the way you can by hitting an "x" at the corner of the programmes in older versions of Windows. You need to figure out how to drag the app to the bottom of the screen, and the way you do it depends on whether you are using touch or a mouse. Stray too far to the left or the right, and your computer will enter a multi-window mode instead.
Solution: Restore the "x." Don't force people to do gestures that don't seem intuitive to the task at hand.
o Malware detected: Windows Defender is taking action
A dangerous files — malware — probably arrived through e-mail, a flash drive, a networked computer, or a website. Windows is removing the file so it can’t do any harm.
Solution: You needn’t do anything. Windows Defender has already caught and removed the evildoer.
o Complex keyboard:
In making it easy for touchscreens, mouse and keyboard commands are more complex to use and figure out.
Solution: Don't try to be a one-size-fits-all operating system. Apple and Google have kept their systems separate for touch-screen mobile devices and for traditional computers that use mouse or track pad controls. Microsoft can improve usability by designing the operating system for one or the other. Don't expect this to change in the promised update, though.
o You don’t currently have permission to access this folder
The file or folder belongs to somebody with a different user account.
Solution: If you hold an Administrator account, you can open files and folders from other people’s user accounts by clicking Continue. If you don’t have an Administrator account, however, you’re locked out.
If an account holder wants to let others see inside the file or folder, he or she should copy or move the item into the Public folder.
