There are some amazing wine regions in Australia, some of the more popular ones are in South Australia. There are a lot of different wineries and wine regions, that all produce quality wine:
In the Clare Valley, which is a very pretty two hour's drive north of Adelaide, the history of wine making dates back to the time of the first European settlers in Australia. An English settler by the name of John Horrocks pioneered wine making and planted vines at Hope Farm in 184o. This was followed by vines being planted at Sevenhill winery n 1852 and Spring Vale ( Quelltaler) in 1853. While these vineyards were being experimented within the Clare Valley, the rest of the area was being populated by a diverse range of settlers. The beginning of the twentieth century saw the rapid expansion of Clare's fledgling wine industry. In 1890, there were about 250 acres (100 Hectares) of vineyards; however that had expanded to 1500 acres (600 hectares) within 10 years.

The winery is an ideal tourist spot with the underground cellars and the Jesuits' St. Aloysius Church nearby. Their wines are available to purchase on line.
Taylors Wines
Established in 1969 and is owned by the Taylor family. The vineyard covers an area of 1,360 acres (550 hectares) and is one of the biggest vineyards in the region. A fascination with Bordeaux wines led them to planting 178 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and they went on to produce some quality award winning red wines. Over the years the production of white wines has increased to the stage where they are as popular as the reds. Taylors have an on line store for the connivance of their customers.
