However, over time, this cache can fill up with old or unnecessary files, significantly slowing down the system. To speed up your MacBook, it's important to clean the main cache regularly. This is a simple task that even someone who is new to computers can do.
First, open Finder on your MacBook by clicking on the icon in the taskbar. Click on “ Go ” in the top menu bar and then select “ Go to Folder .”
In the dialog box that appears, type “/Library ” and press Enter.
Locate the “ Caches ” folder, inside “ Library ”, and delete all the files and folders it contains.
Once this phase is completed, all you have to do is clear the cache for the current user.
- Clear Current User Cache to Speed Up Macbook
As I mentioned before, in addition to the main cache, each user on the MacBook has their own personal cache. This cache stores temporary files from apps used and websites visited by the user. The user cache can also fill up with unnecessary files, slowing down the system. To speed up your MacBook, it is important to also clear the cache of the current user.
