TIMELINE FOR SALVATION

There is a timeline for accepting salvation, it extends from today until the day you die. I address this issue because of the uncertainty of death that faces each of us. I pose, that it is not an issue you want to face with your last breath. You most certainly will make a choice, either today, when you can say it, or face it on a tomorrow that may be a little late.

When one is given the blessing of feeling strong in the spirit of Christ, it represents no more than a wisp of the glory we expect to experience in Heaven. I say this because, the small tastes of this glory as a reward for faith, while we are still among the living, gives witness to the power of God’s influence in the state of our being. Thru his words he imparts to us, a supernaturally infused dose of his Holy Spirit, which in turn, creates a calmness of spirit that makes one immune to the surrounding chaos. You experience a state of mind that gives meaning to, “you can only kill me once”. Once you can say, “Oh death where is your sting?” You spend the rest of your life knowing, “Death was indeed, the last enemy to be defeated”.

Death no longer has the power to instill fear or apprehension in the soul so fortified. Instead, it becomes no more than a doorway, before which Jesus, the Christ, fulfills his promise to stand before the door of judgment. We have the assurance from God the father, that his Son could present a sure advocacy for our sins, having paid for them with a sacrifice agreed on by both the Father and the Son. With such advocacy, death no longer stands in position of influence. It became as nothing more than a symbol referencing a transition built into the human experience of consciousness.

Paul's quotes in 1 Corinthians 1:31: “Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.’”

It is for this reason I dare boast to those who may be lukewarm in their faith, and ask a question I have asked, and answered for myself. I’m just suggesting an alternate answer based on my experience.

I question if you've considered whether or not the motivations that so alluringly distract you from your own pleading spirituality, are of value enough to risk damnation. It seems a reasonable question, since it carries no judgment or harmful intent. The question merely expresses one’s concern for a fellow being. It does not preach; it does not judge. It assumes that you are aware of your actions. The question is, do you realize that at death, your actions will have spoken louder than words? if not, sooner or later, either before death or after, all of us will bear witness to ourselves. No lies, no excuses, no justifications, revealing our naked truths fully exposed to our consciences in the sight of God. The neglected Holy Spirit of God looks on bearing witness to quaking souls as they judge themselves.

There will be those of you who will think my words are spoken in arrogance, and there will be those of you who may recognize the truth, God, does indeed fulfill his promises! I witness nothing more than that which has proven true, making the reverence we give our Holy Words well founded in truth. Now, whether you are one who is relating to these words as they regard the truth in the Bible, I witness with you that they are true. If you are one who takes his faith lightly, I warn, the words are true. If you are one who treats the word of God with disdain, I pray for you, because the words are true.

So, as the apostle Paul teaches us what is acceptable, and I believe his words, I boast of what the Lord has done for me!

I witness the above as a sinner whose redemption came about just as promised by Jesus.

Titus 3:5 – “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”

Jeremiah 9:24, where God says:

“Let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me...”

1 Peter 1:9, “You are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

Ephesians 2:8 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith—and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

Luke 19:9 – Jesus says to Zacchaeus, “Today salvation has come to this house.”

Hebrews 3:7 (KJV): “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts…”

I don’t come to this as a preacher, a teacher, or a trained writer. I come as a man who has lived, listened, and written down what felt too important to ignore. My words aren’t meant to instruct or impress; they’re simply my attempt to point toward truths that have shaped my life.
