Twenty years ago…when I left 8 years of active service in the Navy... it was hard to find a high paying job because…quite frankly…employers think you are good at war stuff and maybe a little rusty at the civilian world, or as we Vets refer to it as, "The Real World".  I was in the military to pay for my education because my college career stalled after 1 year of tuition bills.  Ugggggh! I spent 8 years in the Navy going to college on nights; weekends and… yes I even took a course on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Indian Ocean.  This was of course when I was not busy jumping out the back of a helicopter into the ocean.  I earned two degrees but had no business experience for my resume when I left the Navy, only to find my peers left me in the dust with their successful careers on track for 8 years while I was on hold.
