Vitamin A One very important vitamin that you should add to your diet for skin health and to help deal with your acne problem is vitamin A. This is a vitamin that is fat soluble. It helps to make sure that the mucous membranes and skin are in good shape, since they help to keep bacteria and viruses out of the body. You may have heard Vitamin A referred to as beta carotene, and there are a variety of different foods that contain it. If you need to add some beta carotene (Vitamin A) to your diet, then here are some foods to try: tomatoes, parsley, cantaloupe, yams, kale, spinach, apricots, and carrots.
Vitamin B-3 You should also make sure that you include Vitamin B-3 in your diet as well. It is very important to your health and your skin health. It helps to improve the circulation within your body and it can help to improve the health of your skin as well. There are a variety of foods that have this vitamin in it, including liver, peanuts, eggs, lean meats, and avocados. To get plenty of this vitamin, add these foods to your diet.
Vitamin E Probably the most potent antioxidant out there is Vitamin E. It works to help keep your cells from being negatively affected by free radicals. Free radicals can cause a variety of diseases and they can cause skin problems as well. If you need to get plenty of Vitamin E, then you'll want to eat foods like broccoli, almonds, peanuts, and even sunflower seeds.
Zinc Another great antioxidant is zinc. It works to eliminate the free radicals like Vitamin E does, but it also can help to provide a good boost to the immune system of the body. This is definitely reflected by your skin. You can find zinc in mushrooms, nuts, eggs, and whole grains as well.
