Generic Drugs are absolutely safe. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has declared the generic versions of the branded drugs to be absolutely safe and reliable. FDA conducts the clinical trials for checking the efficacy of the drug and also checks the quality standards maintained by the manufacturer of the generic drug. After checking quality, efficacy, and properties of generic drug, FDA approves the particular drug to be sold in the market as the generic version of the particular branded drug.
Generic drugs were earlier touted as inferior to the branded ones when it came to quality, effect, and reliability. But the truth is quite opposite of the assumed fact. Generic medicines are actually exactly equivalent to the branded versions in terms of quality, sturdiness, characteristics, and usage. The only difference rests with in the brand name conferred by the pharmaceutical companies to the product for the promotion plan. Sometimes even you can find the same name used by generic drug as well as original branded drug. However, it is obligatory for the generic drugs manufacturers to maintain the equivalency of the generic version to its branded competitor in the precise manner.
FDA has made some norms and conditions for the manufacturers of the generic drugs that are as follows:
• Generic Drug should have the same active constituent as the original branded drug and in equal concentration.
• The effectiveness and properties of the generic drug should match with the branded drug.
• The time taken by the generic to show the benefits should not exceed the time taken by the original branded drug to show the benefits.
• Generic Drug should not lead to any other side effects other than those caused by the branded drug.
• However, it is not made compulsory that generic drugs should support the same outlook as their counterparts. It is even not mandatory that the inactive constituents of the generic drugs should be same like branded drug.
In spite of same effectiveness and properties, generic drugs may be ED pills like generic Cialis or other sorts of preparations are offered nearly at ten to ninety percent lower prices than the branded ones. The lower costs of generic drugs are because generic drugs manufacturers don't spend hefty money on the development of a new formulation. As they simply make the replica of an available drug without indulging in development and promotion, generic manufacturers are able to lower down the final retail cost.
Available just at a fraction of the branded version's cost, Generic drugs such as Kamagra, generic Viagra, and generic Cialis, now became household names. Now-a-days even doctor have started prescribing the generic drugs after understanding their safety and efficacy. FDA approval has also played a major role in increased sale of generic drugs. Often hailed as the lifeline of standard class, the empire of generic drugs spreads over more than fifty percent drugs available in the market.
Please take some cautions while purchasing these generic drugs because the fake drugs are sold in the market with the ‘generic’ tag. You can also buy the generic drugs from the online pharmacies but please check whether it is a genuine pharmacy.
