Getting links to your new website business is an essential part of your business. With a little patience and experience anybody can do this reaping continual results long after you have finished the initial task of link building. There are a number of ways of building links to your website business helping it to be indexed and ranked within the search engines. Here we can take a look at some of the ways to get those links ultimately driving quality traffic to your website.

The most obvious method is to submit your website to website directories either manually or you can if you wish, use submission services who will do this for you though it will cost you for the privilege.

Blogs are so popular today, being websites in their own right. You can put posts with your link on any blog you wish but don't be blatant about it. Try to build relationships as this will carry more weight for your business. You may just comment on a blog as well, putting that link in your comment, remembering to offer informative and relevant text with that link.

Forums are an excellent way to get your links out there but don't be blatant about promoting your website. Rather, offer up to date, relevant and fresh content with your link included. This way you will be far more respected within the groups.

Squidoo is a superb site offering you the ability to share your expertise and knowledge on any subject be it business or pleasure. Share your business expertise and include those precious links back to your website for those ultimate sales in order to be making money online. Hubpages is a similar site though there are others you can use and they are all for people to promote their businesses.

What about linking with other similar websites? This is very possible and very easy to do but make sure the website you want to link with is relevant to your business. A simple email to the owner of the website will suffice in placing a link on his or her website and a reciprocal link on your website in return.

You can of course "bait" others to your links simply by having good quality, fresh and relevant content in your article, blog, newsletter etc. You may get others to discuss what you have written or even to answer a questionnaire about making money on the internet perhaps, and so they almost naturally click on your link. A great and easy method of linking.

Don't keep all your backlinks in one area of your content only. One may be in the header perhaps, or in the last paragraph. Keep them varied and spaced out.

Don't put hundreds of links to a new site in a matter of days - Google don't seem to like this and may take some action against your site. Build up your links in a steady and gradual fashion.

Have your links on different types of sites and make sure there is a mix of new ones and older. If a site wants to link to you from a page with a hundred links already on it, you may want to steer clear as the strength of that link is shared with those hundred other links.

Stay well clear of words such as "sponsor" or "advert" as Google does not appreciate these terms and may penalise your website.

Link building may seem a maze at first but when you start to research and practice it you will find it to be pleasant and interesting whilst working from home if that is where you find yourself. Remember, don't overload. Link with relevant sites and be patient. If you carry out link building professionally and in a business like manner, then you will reap rewards both today and in the future.
