Starcraft 2 is an extremely addictive Real-time strategy (RTS) game invented by Blizzard. It is fun and very skill-dependent. Strategies and tactics is what Starcraft 2 is all about. The players manoeuvre for position and carry out attacks and counterattacks in the middle game. You have a better chance of winning if you plan your strategy carefully. Below you will find several simple rules that can help you to win Starcraft 2 on more regular basis.

1. Examine the location of opponent carefully before making any moves. It is very important to plan several moves ahead. The obvious moves are not always the best.

2. Set your mind to end the game early, use SCV rush strategy if possible if a small map.

3. Know what the units and buildings are worth. You should think about the value of your units before producing them. The player whose men add up to a great value will usually have the advantage.

4. Look at your opponent's move. You should stop and think every time your opponent makes a move. Ask yourself, why was that move chosen? Is a particular expansion in danger? Are there other threats I should watch out for? You will be able to successfully carry out your own strategies by defending against your opponent's threats.

5. Keep your gathering units safe. Sometimes a player forgets that his opponent is also hunting for gathering units because they are too busy thinking about their own plan.

6. Make the best possible move. Ask yourself these questions when you are considering a move. Can I improve my position even more by upgrading the armor of units? Does the move help to defend against my opponentís threats?

You are doing yourself a big favour if you maintain your focus and work hard towards your early game strategy. If you don't you'll soon find yourself firefighting problems after one another and that's the type of game you most certainly will lose.
