Having a tattoo done on your body is painful. But the removal might not be as painful as having it on. Yes! Tattoo removing is less painful if you opt for a laser tattoo removal.

There are thousands of techniques available in tattoos removing, but almost all of them come with a pain in one form or the other. From a cheap tattoo removal like cream application to a costly one like Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, pain is there.

of a customized type of laser named Q-switched laser.

The process used in laser therapy is known as photothermolysis, which selectively targets the color pigments of the tattoo to be removed. The process applied so breaks the targeted color pigments into tiny particles, then gradually these particles are cleaned by the immune system and the tattoo get removed.

There are some precautions to be taken before the laser sessions and are known as the pre-operative precautions. Before having a laser session for tattoo ink removal you should take care of the things like avoiding smoking. Smoking causes squeeze of blood capillaries and hence affects the immune system and lowers the healing process, so avoid smoking before the session. Take good care of your skin area, so that you don’t get any scar or any acne or any scratch which might in turn be dangerous to get a laser therapy.

Consult with your doctor if you are allergic to some particular substances.

There are post-operative precautions also. You have to avoid the direct sunlight immediately after the session up to the period as advised by your doctor or surgeon so as to keep the treated area away from direct sunlight. Avoid using hot tubs and steam baths. Also avoid wearing tight bandages. To fight with the pain or any other inflammation use the medicines prescribed by your doctor.
