This is your memory foam guide. It will help you learn what memory foam is, who makes it and what the best memory foam is for you.
Memory foam was developed by NASA in the '70's to combat departure and re-entry gravity pressure. While the foam was never incorporated into NASA mission, there were those who saw the benefits to be had from a foam that could conform to every movement of the body. Any memory foam guide will tell you, a foam that conforms to your body will conform to your natural alignment and provide you with unmatchable comfort.
Since memory foam is contrived to distribute the weight of your body evenly, thus taking the edge off stress at sensitive points, it can be agreed that the normal aches and pains of a spring mattress are on their way out. Additionally, since we all like different densities from our mattresses, you'll find that manufacturers have not only improved the design of this foam for longevity, but also for mass giving different foams less or more firmness.
A memory foam search online will produce almost six million results. You will find memory foam ranging in prices and quality, but here's the catch. Price doesn't constitute quality. More times than not you will be paying for a name, rather than just the foam and it's the job of the memory foam guide to help you realize that while price does count for something, it doesn't count for everything. Speaking of which, you can find memory mattresses for decent prices but you should definitely be on the watch for truly exceptional prices because there's a chance that you're paying for less quality than you may want. There are a few mattresses coming out of China that have this cheap price equal cheap quality affliction.
The only way to find out what is best for you, is to understand what level of firmness you desire, what your price range is and understand density levels. Many sales people will tell you that without, at the very least, a four pound density level it isn't worth the buy. This is incorrect. If there is too much density then you begin to sink, which will enclose you into a pocket of your own body heat, cause you to sweat during the night and forfeits the support of the foam which in turn will cause you to toss and turn, completely eliminating the benefits of memory foam rest. You need to find a balance between your weight and the density of a mattress. The solution is to lay down on a bed for two or three minutes, test drive it so to speak, and see how it holds you. If it is too dense for your weight, you will sink and you can imagine an entire night of sinking into a mattress that will conform to your body. The entire experience wouldn't be pleasant and may cause you to pull away from the very thing that could help you.
