The modern social scientists argue that destruction is always associated with creation. For something new to be created, something old has to be destroyed. So, the Doomsday may not be the end of everything, but rather a new beginning for something that may be better and beautiful than the present.

The best way to judge all of the above claims and counter claims is to wait till the 21st of December 2012 and see for ourselves what happens to the earth and to us.
