End of tenancy cleaning means cleaning of the house when you are moving out of the house at the end of tenancy. Start of tenancy cleaning means proper cleaning of the house before the new tenant moves in. End of tenancy cleaning is important for the leaving tenants as if they do not leave the house in proper condition, they may loose their deposit as many companies require house to be cleaned before leaving. In the same way, house owners need to clean their houses before any tenant moves in. When they plan to show their house to the prospective tenant, then they also need to clean the house to make an impression. It becomes very important for house owners to clean their house when it is locked for years and now you plan to rent it. Cleaning keeps the house in good condition and well maintained in long term. It is also ready to move in.
You can do the cleaning yourself or hire a professional cleaner to do the job. Whether doing it yourself or hiring a professional, make a checklist of the tasks to be performed. It helps you clean every nook and corner of the house without giving much thought.
Let us start from the kitchen. Kitchen is the greasiest place to be cleaned in the house. Surfaces are often greased and grimed. To clean the worktops and other surfaces, they should be washed using commercial cleaners and detergents. Check all cupboards and drawers. If there are some leftovers or spoiled food, throw them in a trash. Areas like taps, sink and pipes, which stay in contact with the water, are deposited with lime scale. It should be cleaned off to have a fresh look. If needed, polish them. Tiles should be cleaned by degreasing and polishing. Remove the mould growth between the grout. Clean all the kitchen appliances like refrigerator, oven, extractors and others. Also, clean the bins.
Now comes the turn of the bathroom which becomes dirty with regular usage. During cleaning the bathroom, tiles, toilet, bathtub and basin are the most important things to take care of. Degrease the tiles, remove the mould growth from grout and wash them. Toilet de-scaling is another important task. Remove all the things like shampoos and soaps and clean the mirror. In the end, wash the floor and polish it.
For cleaning of all other rooms, you should have a planned approach. Clean from top to bottom as dust falls from top to bottom. Clean all the things like light fittings, shades, light switches, skirting boards, banisters, spindles, wall pictures, radiators, fire surrounds and other things. Clean all the furniture, move it and clean the surface below them. Vacuum clean the mattresses, upholstery and carpets. Clean the windows, window sills and window panes.
Only when you complete all these tasks, the house will be ready to welcome new tenants.
