To quote Che Guevara, "A smoke in times of rest is a great companion to the soldier." While he didn’t stick around long enough to comment on a Cuban cigar, smokers around the world would agree to the point that one hasn’t experienced smoking a fine cigar until you have smoked a Cuban.

Even though the cigar came from Spain, the best of the cigars came from Cuba and the reason why they remain in the top slot is because of the country’s climactic conditions that favor the growth of the best quality tobacco in the world. Even making a Cuban cigar is an art, each is made by hand. Each tobacco leaf is carefully selected, cleaned, dried and finally rolled through an extremely complicated procedure to get that strong, tasty flavor that makes a cigar a Cuban. Though, the process of manufacturing a Cuban is much more time consuming than any other cigar type, it leaves you with a smoking experience simply like none other.

To buy cigars which are Cuban, one has to know the various types. The most famous of the Cuban cigars that have fans all across the globe are the ‘Cohibas’, characterized by their delicate and flavorful nature. Their quality is unparalleled and if you want to while away an hour in the rich tobacco, they are your best bet. Other few popular Cubans that are also a true delight to a true cigar man are the Montecristo, Partagas, Habanos, Cuaba, Guantanamera and the Bolivar. While each brand and type of cigar tastes different and its quality can very well be mild, medium or full bodied, different smokers have different preferences but a Cuban has a reputation that hasn’t disappointed anyone.

A unique present that you can give to anyone who loves tobacco are cigar gifts. These can simply be an array of the best Cubans that one desires along with complementing accessories like cigar cutters that are used to cut off the cap end of a regular cigar. Cigars come in various forms, either with both sides capped, one side cut and other capped or both sides cut. The most common form is one side cut and one capped and so you need to cut the capped side of the cigar so that it can be smoked properly and even use classy cigar cutters to give the whole exercise the ‘godfather’ look. Thus such a gift added with a vintage cigar lighter will clearly make a gift with a style statement.

So, incase you have tried them out before then there is nothing more to be said, but if you still haven’t tried out these babies, then occupy a calm and a quiet place and add some peaceful music and smoke up your Cuban cigar to realize there just hasn’t been a better smoking experience ever.
