In fact, you can enjoy a vacation in San Diego at any given time during the year since this enchanting city is always buzzing with colorful events and happenings. In San Diego there are two popular outfitters, Hornblower and the San Diego Harbor Excursion, where three-and-a-half-hour whale watching boat tours are organized.
Those who love photography must visit the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, a two-hour drive from San Diego to click photographs of wildflowers. This is the largest desert state park in the USA where visitors can also enjoy hiking and riding.
In the month of February, how can one forget about the Chinese New Year which takes place annually in late January or early February. The main attractions during this celebration are the colorful food and craft vendors, as well as a lantern parade. Another major festival that takes place during this time is the annual Kuumba Festival, a celebration of Black History Month where visitors can enjoy a gospel concert, an African marketplace, creative workshops, and guest speakers and artists.
