Bifocal lenses: bifocal lenses are framed to give better performance in ophthalmologic condition like presbyopia. To cure presbyopia, both bifocal and manumission designs are effective and can be made of both soft and rigid gas permeable lenses.
Toric lenses: Toric lenses are specially made for patients with astigmatism. These lenses have two powers, one for the astigmatism and another for near or far sightedness.
Lenses curved for ortho-k: ortho-k or orthokeratology is a corneal reshaping treatment. Rigid gas permeable lenses are specially design to give the cornea a perfect shape, and therefore, to rectify vision.
Decorative lenses: people wear this type of lenses not for any corrective purpose but to change the appearance of their eyes.
