If you find you have hemorrhoids, the first thing you may do about it is nothing. You will wait and see if they go away by themselves. If that happens, and it does once in awhile., consider yourself very fortunate. Most times hemorrhoids do not go away by themselves. And if they do, they usually return.
If your problem doesn't going away you have to do something about it. You may want to try to treat it yourself before going to the doctor. People have found hemorrhoid relief in a number of ways
One of the most popular methods is to use over the counter preparations made especially for curing hemorrhoids at home. This cream is applied directly to the affected area. Studies suggest that the most popular hemorrhoid cream is no better than petroleum jelly, zinc oxide or aloe so go with whatever is the least expensive. While this may provide some temporary relief, it is unlikely to provide any long term benefits.
Another popular method is the sitz bath. In this method, you fill your tub with a few inches of water has warm as you can tolerate. You will then sit in the water for 10 to 20 minutes. To save water, some people sit in plastic tubs meant for bathing infants. Because it holds less water, the tub will cool down faster and require new hot water before your time is up. This should be done up to four times per day. Some people also get relief with very cold water. Many people report quick relief with the sitz bath.
Many people are reluctant to see their doctors about this problem. Some people are embarrassed to talk about the problem. Others are afraid of being told they need surgery. If creams or sitz baths don't work, you still have a number of other options to consider before going the medical route.
Learn how to cure hemorrhoids naturally without drugs or surgery. No sense in waiting. They aren't going anywhere on their own.
