Shahrukh Khan may be the king of Bollywood but he is surely having the most elusive and abortive time of his life in the cricketing world. Akin to the first two seasons in the Indian Premiere League (IPL), Kolkata Knightriders are dumped out of the race for qualifying into the semifinals after losing to the Chennai Super Kings by 9 wickets on Tuesday.
Dhoni’s Chennai Superkings trounced Kolkata Knightriders out of this year’s IPL. KKR looked highly ambitious when the IPL 3rd season commenced after winning early matches but they went through an abysmal phase after losing quick matches in succession. After this finally they ended up arriving at a stage where winning was their only option. KKR had to win 3 out of 3 matches to qualify for the semifinal, but they lost their very first knockout match to Chennai Super Kings.
This time upon King Khan has taken up all the blame on himself for the saddened exit of his team from the IPL semis. According to some of the excerpts from Twitter, SRK was really looking forward to the match versus Superkings. SRK states that his team was outbatted, outbowled and outclassed out of semis. Truly! The King of Bollywood never lost so much so often and so consistently in the other cosmos of life apart from the IPL. SRK faces the flak for his team for not putting up a good enough show and he also apologized to all KKR fans around the globe. SRK’s sheepish confession is in austere disparity to last year’s scenario where he had left the tournament in South Africa halfway after KKR were sure to languish at the bottom.
King of Bollywood stated that he can’t do anymore for KKR and he can’t sound fakely uppity about the IPL’s next season. He didn’t make any promises about the next season of IPL. SRK also felt for the kind-hearted loyal sponsors for who would lose a great deal after the exit of KKR from the tournament so early on and not making it to the semis even once in three years. According to SRK’s tweet, the IPL fever has taken over Mannat as after the defeat of KKR, even SRK’s children embraced him as Aryan and Suhana gave him a tight hug after the trounce in three years so that he could come out of this fiasco and start afresh.
But keeping this aside, Bollywood’s King Khan has a acting career to look up to and let’s not forget that is his forte and that is one arena where he scores according to his liking and arguably is the best in the business. His forthcoming project Ra.1 is sure to make business for King Khan. Ra.1 is a sci-fi Bollywood movie starring SRK and Kareena Kapoor. For the very first time, SRK will be doing a superhero act after the likes of Hrithik and Abhishek Bachhcan. Though, King Khan didn’t found success in the IPL but this one surely looks like a money-spinner.
SRK + Bollywood is a sure shot success! Even if SRK + KKR aint! Will be interesting to see what SRK brings to the table next year in the IPL!
