As a college student trying to pay my way through school, it’s hard to save up money when on top of rent and textbooks, I have to pay for gas and food on a weekly basis. Even when working two jobs, it’s hard to set aside enough money to spend on the things that you actually want.

For a year I had been trying to save up for an iPod, but it was taking forever! When sharing my frustration with my friends, one friend told me that he had gone online and earned an iPod for free. “Give me a break,” I told him. I had tried clicking on free advertisements online before, but there was always a catch, so I eventually gave up. If there was one thing that I had learned over the years it was that nothing in life is free, but my friend kept persisting that the website was legitimate, and he truly was one of my closest friends. I was still a bit resistant, but I agreed to at least listen to him. He told me all about how the website worked and how he really got his own iPod shipped to him in the mail without having to spend a cent.

It seemed too good to be true, a real scam if you asked me, but I decided to give it a shot anyway since I had nothing to lose. Boy, am I glad I did! The site was so easy to join, and before I knew it, I was on my way to earning points to get a free shuffle. Just by becoming a member I was instantly granted 200 points. All I needed was 800 more to get a free iPod shuffle or a $75 iTunes gift card.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, 800 points may seem like a lot, but by just logging in each day and clicking on a few ads, I earned enough points to get my shuffle in 1 week! I earned 8 points here, and 20 points there, just for clicking on some advertisements and entering my zip code, or my e-mail address, or even by just filling out a 2-minute survey. There were no obligations, no fees; I seriously thought it had to be a joke. But lo and behold I received my shuffle as promised, and I couldn’t have been happier!

Since then I have earned 2 more shuffles and even won another one without completing any offers at all! If you log in and click on one advertisement, even without entering any information, you are automatically entered into the drawing to win a free shuffle for that day. I can’t believe that even with my terrible luck I won! I got the shuffles in all different colors and was able to receive them in time for Christmas to give to my friends as presents. It had been a long time since I could afford to give my friends gifts for the holidays, but this time I was able to make up for it! It was truly unbelievable, and made me feel incredible.

Right now I’m working on earning the video iPod. The video iPod takes a little bit longer to get because you have to earn more points, but hey, as long as it is free I don’t care! I’ve only been working on it for a few weeks and I should be able to receive it very soon. So why should I spend hundreds of dollars on an iPod when I don’t have to? Personally, I’d rather spend 5 minutes a day filling out interesting surveys and completing free offers than spend a whole year saving up enough extra money to buy an iPod.
