Metal tile, both decorative and functional, has been used for centuries. Medieval blacksmiths forged iron and bronze to adorn stone of ancient castles. These accents were not only functional but also fashionable.
Quality handcrafted metal dots and metal liners are cast from solid, lead-free pewter and bronze. They are solid metal and not metallic glaze or metal/resin hybrids. These insets are simple, refined designs that blend well most design styles including natural stone, ceramic tile, as well as glass tile.
Decorative metal tiles can provide any architectural look you desire. Metal dots provide the finishing touch to your ceramic, porcelain or natural stone floor, bathroom vanity backsplash or kitchen backsplash, providing understated elegance.
Metal Tile Design Ideas
Metal Tile as an accent piece with natural stone
Metal tile is an excellent choice as an accent piece when installing a natural stone. Metal tile works equally as well on a tumbled stone backsplash. Simply clip the corners of the stone material and insert a 2" pewter or bronze metal tile to give any backsplash, floor, or bath vanity area that special design element that sets your home apart from others.
When using sate products, depending on the color and shading of the material either a pewter or bronze 2" metal tile goes very well with almost any material in the slate family.
Metal tile as an accent piece with ceramic tile
Not sure how to add some pizzazz to a ceramic tile design? Consider using a pewter metal tile with lighter shades of ceramic tile and a bronze tile works better with darker shaded tiles. There are endless design possibilities with color and layout combinations. Play with the combinations till you find the one that works best for your décor.
Metal tile as an accent piece with Glass tile
When designing a contemporary kitchen adding metal tile accents introduces a unique element chosen specifically by the you adding a nice personal touch. With granite counters and stainless steel appliances, consider a glass tile backsplash with a few 2" pewter metal tile dots mixed in and spaced randomly. The metal tile would blend in well in a modern kitchen and would match quite nicely with the stainless steel appliances kitchen fixtures.
If you are remodeling your kitchen consider adding metal tile. It goes well with all types of designs including modern and contemporary, traditional, country, or a rustic theme.
