It is not going to be easy, but it is far from impossible to learn guitar as an adult. If you have ever had the dream of playing guitar for any reason at all, whether it is for personal enjoyment or because you hear the call of the stage and the lights, you owe it to yourself to follow that dream and learn to play guitar. It's never too late to follow a dream and that includes learning to play an instrument. As an adult the challenges are of course different than a child or teenager, but dedication, commitment, and devotion to your instrument are not lost when you turn 18.

When I started to play guitar it was at the age of 45 and I had all of the challenges, excuses and reasons for not learning guitar up to that point that most adults have...in a nutshell it was called "Life." I had to fulfill the responsibilities of everyday adult life and that unfortunately delayed me in finally realizing the joy I had longed for since I was a kid...learning to play guitar.

If you are ready to make the commitment to yourself and your instrument later in life you have to into the considerations that re still going to be a challenge: finding time to practice, finding the right instruction, paying for the cost of lessons, and the ability to study your craft when it is convenient for you are some of the considerations you will have when learning to play guitar as an adult.

One of the surest ways to learn to play an instrument is through a good, high-quality instruction course. There are many great courses available on the market and you can certainly find one that suits you best with just a little research.

I explored a lot of products that can be found online when I started playing guitar and found many worth note and one in particular really stood out to me because it focused on exactly what I was looking for: Adult Guitar Lessons. I spent a lot of time looking at the site and it's contents, compared it to other programs and after all was said and done purchased the program. That was a smart decision...

When I came across the Adult Guitar Lessons web site and began reading I found myself answering yes out loud to the questions that they asked me...as I am sure most of you will too. I quickly found myself interested in what the author of the course had to say and read on.

I liked the fact that the author of the program was definitely closer to my age than my daughters' and that he had been a part of bands that I knew and recognized.

The information in the site began to address concerns that had when I was getting ready to start learning how to play and the testimonials and the pictures of the people who sent the testimonials in were real and honest I felt. So far so good. I was feeling a sense of alliance.

I liked the way the course took a direct path to teaching and understood that I didn't have the desire or time, to learn music theory and the in-depth study of schools and music classes...I wanted to learn to play guitar.

I was impressed that there are over 100 videos in the course and I can view them online anytime day or night and didn't have to download and save a bunch of space-snatching videos on my hard drive. The tabs, chords, and music charts appeared to be very clear and easy to follow. The pictures and textual content were equally clear and of high-quality.

The information was pretty impressive to me already, but what me break out the credit card was the free upgrades and guarantee. Free upgrades were a value to me, the price was certainly affordable, and a guarantee took away the risk...I was sold.

After buying and using the program, I can honestly say it has been everything they say it would be. There is a ton of great information in the program! Each of the four modules has a huge amount of instruction jam material, and way more. As a beginner, I obviously began on the first Module.

All of the videos are very well done and are enjoyable and easy to follow. All of the diagrams are thorough and make it easy to follow along with the videos and written instructions. The finger placement photos make it impossible for you to make a mistake on finger positioning.

I followed along with the instruction (although I did skip ahead a little) and within one hour I was strumming chords and actually playing music! Only two chords, but I was so stoked it sounded like the most beautiful song I ever heard! I was really playing guitar! A little while later, a couple more chords and I was about as happy as I could have been!

The program hasn't stopped impressing me. Every lesson has helped me learn more and accomplish more. Each time I complete a lesson I am thrilled with my ability to compound on what I have already learned. Even though I am still focusing on the first module, there is so much information to follow and use and all of it works perfectly together.

The ease of practicing on my own time schedule and without looking for an instructor who I liked or who was interested in what I was trying to accomplish has been great...I can practice anytime I like and since it is a server based program, I have even been able to practice away from my house just by logging into my account online. I don't have to follow someone else's schedule or learning agenda and I can practice on the techniques at my leisure and for as long or as a short a time as I want.

The three continuing modules are all equally packed with great information, instruction, videos, etc and I am extremely excited about getting to them! But first things first...

I appreciated the bonuses that came with the course but have not utilized them yet...although I have no doubt that I will be using the coaching bonus here real soon, and look forward to actually reaching the level of songwriting ability, and as far as third bonus about being in a band? Well who knows? After I played those first two chords after only an hour or so, I felt that same feeling inside me that I felt the first time I remember hearing a guitar and saying, "Wow, I wish I could do that..."

If you are an adult and you have seriously decided to pursue that dream of playing guitar, you really should find a program that understands how an adult wants to learn and that addresses the concerns and challenges that face us when trying to learn something like playing an instrument. Learning to play an instrument is hard...make no mistake. It takes commitment and dedication. It also takes good education and instruction. If you can provide the commitment and dedication, I firmly believe Adult Guitar Lessons can provide the rest. So just go for, have fun, keep practicing, and enjoy the experience!
