Arizona is the 48th state of the United States of America and is located in the country’s southwestern region. The total area of the state is 113,998 sq miles and is ranked 6th in terms of size with the other states in the country. The map of Arizona shows many things about the state including the neighboring places. The neighboring places are - New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, Colorado and Mexico. Arizona is divided into five reasons, they are - Eastern Arizona, Greater Phoenix, Northern Arizona, South Central Arizona and Western Arizona.
Due to the variety in elevation and depression of the topography, and also the huge size, the climate experienced in Arizona is also diverse. In areas with lower elevations, the weather is mainly mild with mild winter and warm summer seasons. The warm weather and low levels of precipitation provides a comfortable opportunity to enjoy the pleasant weather and take part in different types of outdoor activities. Depending on what you prefer, the choices available are - biking, sightseeing, golf, hiking and picnic, etc. During the summer season temperature as high as 100-110 degrees F is pretty common.
Travelers to Arizona must pack appropriate clothing depending on which time of the year they are traveling. Comfortable fitting cotton and linen clothes are ideal to beat the summer heat here. The state is a great place, if you want to get a glimpse of local the culture and traditions of local Native Americans. Some of the popular tourist attractions in Arizona are - Meteor Crater, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Homolovi Ruins State Park and Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.
