In previous section we discussed axillary suction curettage and its process. Many people were always in dilemma to opt for suction curettage, hence known regulatory clinical bodies researching on hyperhidrosis carried out some analysis and concluded some reports .
Sweating has many negative impacts and is cause of social humility and professional disgrace. Suction curettage surgery is very significant in treating hyper normal sweating, let's see how?
Case 1: Primary axillary hyperhidrosis is mainly due to self medication of over the counter medications. We will see study in which suction surgery is compared with minimal skin resection. Nearly; comparison was estimated by treating 169 people with mean age group of 28 years. Test was carried out to evaluate risk benefits of suction curettage and minimal skin resection.
Respectively, we can term it as Method A and Method B.
Conclusion: From studies it was calculated that, method A takes less time from completion of entire course, from doctors chamber till getting it back to work. Subcutaneous suction curettage is more acceptable method due to minimal slits done and scarring. Downtime of suction curettage is less over minimal skin resection which takes more time.
Case 2: Focal axillary hyperhidrosis (FAH) can lead in functional disorder which may cause social and psychological problems. Major motto after any treatment is the condition of patient. Though, lot of studies are being carried for evaluating life after surgeries like sympathectomy and post application of topical agents like antiperspirants, injections and Botox. FAH aims to estimate the life after such treatments.
Conclusion: Nearly, 51 patients underwent surgery for 9 months and results from these samples were drawn for life after operation. SC (suction curettage) is regarded as very efficient treatment as it reduces various disabilities associated with axillary hyperhidrosis and leads to complete dryness. Suction curettage is regarded as final step for eliminating armpit perspiration, as sweat glands are only removed.
After, these two above cases surely picture is crystal clear and excessive sweating now is not only controllable but can be eliminated completely too. Suction curettage is safe surgery than others due to minimal side effects.
The funniest thing a dermatologist came across was, person with average sweating opted for suction curettage, with misconception in mind that underarms have most number of sweat glands, though it lead to permanent dryness. Such, myths are good if kept at bay and only skilled professional advice is followed.
According to study conducted by European university on excessive sweating, analysis was done by using 50 samples of extreme sweat victims. According to research, those 50 people were treated with suction curettage and results were like 80% post treatment were completely happy, 20% were semi contended and rest few were not satisfied, nearly like 5%only.
