The photographs you see in magazines of popular actresses, musicians, athletes and political figures are designed to stir up feelings in the people viewing them. From determination, to satisfaction, to jealousy, and every feeling in between, these kinds of vibrant and exciting people have talents and personalities that can't easily be captured on film. So how is it accomplished?

Have you ever wondered about the person guiding the lens of those lovely celebrity images you see in magazines, then you already know the answer. Celebrity photographers are schooled in and experienced with capturing natural emotion and talent on film. These people have as much ability as the people they are photographing, and most likely work in one or two of three distinct classes.

Event photography is one of the main areas in which celebrity photographers work. Film premiers, social gatherings, award shows, music festivals and private functions are just a few of the instances that these professional photographers work. They're hired by publicists or magazines for red carpet events, and frequently they are hired by the celebrities themselves for marriages or birthday parties.

Another important group that celebrity photographers work in is celebrity portraits. A majority of these are the more personal images you see of celebrities, such as the ones that accompany the interviews you find in magazines. Most of these pictures are the type which are supposed to find the essence of each celebrity, and to provide the viewers a look into who that person really is in their private life.

Celebrity portraits can also be used on album covers, in magazines as mentioned above, and even in celebrity's private portfolios. They are also used for the same things that all people use photography for - to capture a great family portrait. After all, celebrities are first and foremost people, and take family photos the same as anyone else.

The third group that celebrity photographers operate in is paparazzi, which is when the photographer takes candid photos of celebrities. It is common knowledge that paparazzi photographers have a reputation for annoying celebrities, a reputation that's earned. But not all of paparazzi photographers deserve this status. Many work within their own ethical standards, and frequently only take photographs after they have permission. Unfortunately you do not read about these photographers too often.

So the next time you see an incredible photograph of your favorite artist, actor, singer or even politician, you now know a bit more about the expertise behind the camera. Without having celebrity photographers, and their true talents, we would not be offered a a peek into who our favorite celebrities really are.
